I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the best at ✨relaxing✨ when I'm not at work.
Blame it on the ADHD, entrepreneurship, motherhood - or all of the above. But, this summer specifically I've been working on establishing more work-life balance and soaking up the slower moments.
Here's what I’ve been…
1. Watching: I only watch reruns in bed of “Everybody Loves Raymond”, “Modern Family” & “The Office”. I LOVE “The Office”- I watch it thru season 4 then restart & repeat & repeat & repeat…
2. Listening To: I freaking LOVE Ehrling - it’s house saxophone music. I’m obsessed with the saxophone! I like it as upbeat house music.
3. Reading: I’m currently reading Daughters of Shandong. It’s about a family who is uprooted from their home and they become refugees as communists take over mainland China. It’s based on real events. It’s fascinating!
4. Eating: I have been eating lot of Caesar salads. Actually, I had 2 big salads delivered from Target today because their salad kits are super yummy!
5. Drinking: Way too many Red Bulls, as usual! And have consumed waaaay too much sweet tea. Once I get going on sweet tea I cannot STOP! I craved it when I was pregnant and it makes me gain weight, but I still can’t stop!
6. Doing to Relax: Spending time at the pool! I recently moved and was never a pool person, but now that we have one in our backyard, I am a POOL-PERSON. And as long as I live in Ohio, I will always have a pool!
7. Deciding for Vacay Spots or Hangouts: I’m a creature of habit & once I find something I like, I do not like to change it - so if we go anywhere other than our backyard pool, it will be to Destin, FL… like always!
