Hi guys! I'm really excited about today's blog post because I started out in 2020 thinking that I was going to be able to do more podcasts. And I really wanted to put that out into the universe. And lo and behold, whenever you start thinking about things that you want, and start talking about the things that you want, you'll start to notice them more and these things start to happen for you.

Recently I was a guest on Kara Duffy's podcast, which is called The Powerful Ladies Podcast. I was so excited and so flattered to be on it. If you haven't had a chance to listen to it, I wanted to kind of touch on the subjects here real fast so that you'd get a better idea of what to expect in the actual podcast.

So this (the podcast) was recorded just last month. All of the information that was talked about is still relevant in this podcast. We talk about basically things that every entrepreneur goes through but no one wants to admit. I talk about the things that I failed at and the different avenues that I took that didn't actually work out for me. I talked about things that were embarrassing to admit whenever it comes to being an entrepreneur, and being a mom, and the dating scene. I talk about things that are pretty intimate that I won't really lead a conversation with, but with those topics, if someone asks me about it, I'm an open book andI'll tell them about it.

We talk about how a company or a business or a brand will only succeed whenever you don't forget your “why”. And my “why”, my whole company, is basically branded off of my insecurities and how other women have insecurities. So we talked about how I deal with the competition, how I deal with people doing the same things as me, how I deal with the actual companies stealing all of my photos and stuff like that, which happens a lot. And it might happen to you. We talk about really uncomfortable things; like not having money whenever you start out in a business, and not having a formal education, and what I did to make it work.  And how I learned along the way what would work for my company and brand and myself without those things and without a college degree. We talked about how there are very specific steps that you can take that seems small, but then over time they really start to build momentum and you get farther ahead than what someone who just zips through it does.

Anyway, it's a really good podcast as I’ve done a few other podcasts and this one is by far one of my favorites. Kara just asked incredible questions. She asked questions that I get asked a lot like, “how did you get started?” and “what was the size of your team?”.  Things that people genuinely want to know and I don't always get the opportunity to just sit down and talk to everybody about it.

So if you get a chance I'm going to link it and just be sure to listen to it on your drive home or whatever. I think it's really interesting and Kara is just such an amazing host. I think you'll really, really like it and I honestly feel like you'll be inspired by it. So check it out!
