"If you're telling me the only way I can become organized is to adhere to someone else's way of planning, I have already failed."

Up until now, trying to find a way to keep my life balanced has been one failed attempt after another. It's not just about balancing appointments, meetings, and engagements. My life lacked balance in being super creative and focused one minute, and forgetful and lost in a to-do list the next. I could pin 50 different pins to a "kitchen renovation" board on Pinterest and then completely forget I even made it the minute a decent-sized distraction or other commitment came up. But that didn't mean I wasn't serious about redoing my kitchen... I just lost sight of what I wanted. And totally forgot.

As a single mom with ADD running a business, I have tried countless of layouts and approaches to planners. I know they are important in keeping my life organized. But what I found in planners that are currently lacking on the market are 3 key ingredients that prevented me from ever actually succeeding: Flexibility with layout, Goal Activation Prompts, and Creative Expression. Without having these 3 in one planner, I ended up using 1 or 2 planners at the same time, plus a notebook for all my excessive note taking and brainstorming ideas, and because it was SO MUCH to remember I often ended up not using them consistently (or at all) thus rendering my time and efforts useless. Not to mention all the post it notes around my house that I fully intended on jotting in my planner.

With other planners, I was met with clear defined lines of weekly, monthly, and yearly sections throughout the book. Which sounds helpful... but what happened is I never remembered to look at my quarterly goals and financial agenda that's tucked in the back. Honestly I don't think I ever even wrote them down, let alone remembered to go back and look at them. Let's not forget that the layout of the planner is so important and that freakin' spine messes with my handwriting every time and I HATE it. If my planner isn't cute, Im not using it. Period.

Trying to be too rigid didn't work for me. Thousands of you in my polls admitted the same thing. There is such a thing as over-reaching. I over reach every year when I say I will no longer buy the Party Sized bag of Cool Ranch Doritos as my New Years Resolution. ...but take a wild guess as to what's in my garbage can as of January 21? A finger-licked-crumb-free bag of you-know-what. I should just say I will only buy it once or twice a week... *stutters* I mean year...

And what about the spacing? With smaller planners, my handwriting was just not that cute and dainty unless I spent 45 minutes writing down I have a gynecologist appointment on the 24 of March.  I don't care how cute and inviting I try to make that look in my planner with little hearts or flowers around it, I will never be excited to go and should just take a Sharpie and just black out the whole day because that's essentially how I feel. Regardless, in a planner that small, "Gynecologist" appointment wouldn't fit anyways.

So listen.... I get it.

I get wanting to be organized and intentional.

I get wanting to be creative and cute with your planner like you see on Pinterest.

I get wanting to create a vision board and mood board and not really knowing where to start.

I wrote down all the things that I disliked about planners or prevented me from consistency using one.

And then I created the opposite of that.

I had been using my makeshift one for a few months, happy with myself that I finally found a solution.  But on my weekly Zoom calls (thanks covid) it would always catch the attention of the person on the other end of the screen. "That's genius!" They would say when I showed them the placement of the spine. "I love that idea!" when I would tell them about the sticky card option and how the papers can be removed to be stored in one area or the other, depending on how your brain categorizes it.

It's a note-taking style agenda without the fuss with bullet-style journaling with the cute artwork already done for you.

It caters to habit-tracking of all sorts ranging from goal-setting to color recognition. With prior planners I would stare at something for 30 seconds before my brain would make the connection. And color-coding and recognition is scientifically proven to help you memorize things. MMM hmmm. It's true.

It allows you to choose how you want the set up to be, and how you want to prioritize your lifestyle. Need a lot of note-taking space? It's in there. Need some guidance on how to organize your thoughts? It's in there too.

My brain and actions have never mirrored a perfectly-organized planner. Because it's not like that! Life is chaotic! The purpose of this planner is to coordinate the chaos in a way that best suits your lifestyle and natural tendencies.

So let me shut up and at least tell you what you get:

Not what I expected

Very cute planner. Didn’t expect to have to put it together and print off the inserts which I still haven’t donemostlynbeciase I don’t have a printer and not even sure what paper to print it on. I’m concerned about how well it will stay together with just the plastic pieces binding it and the paper tabs wearing.

Planner

I believe I was expecting it to be put together already so I was a little sad that I would have to print out the pages for the planner because I don’t even own a printer. The parts that it came with were all so cute though! I ended up sending the planner back for an exchange for a store credit. I’m still waiting for the store credit to come in my email.

I love the planner but it only came with two sticky notes , not the 3 or 4 like what was picture and getting the hole punches was a little tedious. I enjoy the concept but it was a lot of work to get put together and wasn’t sent as pictured. Still a great product.
